Pszczyna is an urban-rural municipality located in the Silesian Voivodeship, within Pszczyna County. The municipal seat is in the town of Pszczyna, and its total area is 174.01 km², dominated by agricultural land (56%) and forests (29%). The municipality comprises 12 villages, including Brzeźce and Czarków, and features specialized transport services such as a private helicopter landing site. According to data from December 31, 2021, Pszczyna has a population of 50,616 people. The municipality has a rich history, having been established as the collective rural gmina of Pszczyna-Wieś in December 1945.
