wikipedia
Radomice, a small village located in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in the Lwówek Śląski County, is characterized by its rich architectural and historical heritage. The register of monuments includes the filial church of St. James and Catherine and the adjacent church cemetery, dating from the 15th to the 20th century. Additionally, the village boasts a brick building of the former school from the late 19th century and several residential houses from the second half of the same century. Among the historical curiosities, it is worth mentioning that Roman coins were found in the vicinity of Radomice, suggesting early settlement associated with thermal waters. Radomice was probably established in the 14th century and over the centuries was under the influence of various owners, which influenced its development. In the 16th century, the village converted to Lutheranism, and the Thirty Years' War brought significant destruction. The expansion of gold and uranium mining took place in the 20th century, and after 1945 the village became agricultural and gradually depopulated. The area of Radomice contains valuable minerals, such as gold, as well as a distinctive geological structure with Silurian shales. The natural assets of the village include protected areas, such as the Bóbr Valley Landscape Park. Radomice is one of the highest located settlements in the region, offering agritourism. Existing tourist trails, such as the Trail of the Piast Castles, attract culture and history enthusiasts, and stories of hidden treasures, such as the alleged finds of a Fabergé egg, enrich local legends.
