Radomysl nad Sanem

Radomyśl nad Sanem is a rural municipality located in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, within the Stalowa Wola County. Its administrative seat is situated in a town of the same name. Known until 1973 as the municipality of Antoniów, it underwent various administrative changes and belonged to the Tarnobrzeg Voivodeship between 1975 and 1998. Over the years, the municipality has experienced dynamic demographic shifts, and according to data from the end of 2020, it had 7,331 inhabitants. The municipality covers an area of 133.63 km², of which agricultural land accounts for 47% and forested areas for 45%, highlighting its agricultural and forested character. The municipality constitutes 16.04% of the area of Stalowa Wola County. Within its boundaries, there are numerous villages, such as Antoniów, Chwałowice, Dąbrowa Rzeczycka, and Witkowice, reflecting its diverse settlement structure. In terms of culture, Radomyśl nad Sanem engages in partnerships with towns like Waldbüttelbrunn in Germany and Radekhiv in Ukraine, fostering cultural ties and international cooperation. Despite its relatively small size, the municipality boasts local traditions and a rich social life, contributing to its appeal.
