Radymno is a town located in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, in Jarosław County, which was once the residence of the Przemyśl bishops. Its history dates back to the Neolithic period, with the first mentions of the Radimich tribe, and the town received its city rights in 1431. Radymno is characterized by its historic urban layout, featuring the parish church of St. Lawrence, built in the Baroque style between 1724 and 1730, and the remains of the bishop's residence, including a manor house from the 1920s. The town also boasts a synagogue from the early 20th century and a market hall from the 1930s. The culture of Radymno is reflected in various events, such as Radymno Days, the Jazz Festival, and the Subcarpathian Choir Review. Numerous cultural and sports associations are active in Radymno, offering a rich array of activities for residents and tourists. Interestingly, the town served as a base for military units during World War I and World War II, as well as a camp for Poles during the occupation. It is worth noting that Radymno was also a site of battles and destruction, and after the war, it began a new period of economic development. The town also has its honorary citizen, Father Leonard Pastor, the parish priest for many years, who contributed to its development. With its beautiful monuments and rich history, Radymno offers many attractions for visitors, and its residents preserve local traditions through the organization of numerous cultural events.
