Radymno II Deanery

The Radymno II Deanery, established in 1949 by a decree of Bishop Franciszek Barda, is located in the Archdiocese of Przemyśl, within the Jarosław Archpresbyteriate. Its origins date back to the division of parishes from the Jarosław, Pruchnik, and Przemyśl suburban deaneries. The first dean was Fr. Franciszek Michalec, and the vice-dean was Fr. Walenty Trela. In 1992, the deanery was divided into Radymno I and Radymno II, which led to an adjustment of the boundaries of neighboring deaneries. The deanery comprises a variety of parishes, and their architecture reflects the region's traditions of sacred building. Many of them have rich histories, and some are dedicated to well-known saints, which has become an important element of local culture. The deanery is served by many pastoral workers who are responsible for various parish groups, including families, youth, and missionary activities. The effects of their work can be seen in the life of the community, the organization of events, and pro-social initiatives. An interesting aspect is the diversity of the parishes, including numerous branch churches, which testify to the deep religiosity of the inhabitants and local traditions.
