The Radzanów municipality, located in the Masovian Voivodeship within Mława County, is an area rich in history and with an interesting demographic structure. The seat of the municipality is the town of Radzanów, and until 1954 the municipality was known as the Ratowo municipality. The area of the municipality includes many village districts (sołectwa), such as Bębnowo, Bojanowo, and Gradzanowo, as well as several small settlements without village district status. The municipality covers an area of 98.7 km², of which 74% is agricultural land and 17% is forested. In 2004, the municipality had 3,662 inhabitants. Radzanów has its roots in rural architecture, and local buildings often retain their traditional character. In terms of culture, the municipality is a place where local traditions and customs are nurtured by the community. The municipality cooperates with neighboring municipalities, such as Bieżuń and Raciąż, which fosters cultural exchange. An interesting fact is that between 1975 and 1998, Radzanów was administratively part of the Ciechanów Voivodeship, and the administrative changes in the region had a significant impact on local development. The municipality constitutes 8.43% of the area of Mława County and is an example of rural structures in Poland that preserve their identity and attachment to tradition, making it an interesting place both to live in and to visit.
