Rząśnia is a rural commune located in the Łódź Voivodeship, within Pajęczno County, with its seat in a locality of the same name. Between 1975 and 1998, the commune belonged to the Piotrków Voivodeship. According to data from the end of 2007, the commune was inhabited by 4,814 people, and by 2022 this number had increased to 5,039. The commune covers an area of 86.12 km², of which 80% is agricultural land and 13% is forested. The commune constitutes 10.71% of the area of Pajęczno County. The commune includes various villages, such as Augustów, Będków, and Stróża, as well as the no longer existing village of Zabrzezie, which is now part of the KWB Bełchatów mining area. Rząśnia has good road connections, with the provincial road no. 483 running through it, connecting Łask with Częstochowa, as well as railway line no. 146. Until 2009, the Biała Pajęczańska railway station existed here. The neighboring communes include Kiełczygłów, Pajęczno, Rusiec, Sulmierzyce, and Szczerców. The commune stands out not only for its agricultural character but also for its history and local traditions. In Rząśnia and its surroundings, one can observe diverse architectural forms related to the region's history as well as local cultural customs. Interestingly, the age structure of the commune's inhabitants is sufficiently diverse, as highlighted by the 2014 population pyramid. Rząśnia is a place that combines rich traditions with modernity, making it an interesting point on the map of the Łódź Voivodeship.
