Września is an urban-rural municipality located in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, within Września County, with its administrative seat in the town of Września. The municipality was established on January 1, 1973, as a result of administrative reform. It covers an area of 221.84 km², which constitutes 31.5% of the county's total area. In 2017, the municipality had a population of 46,439 people. The region is characterized by rich historical infrastructure, with 44 heritage sites, both in Września and in smaller towns. Among the most valuable monuments are churches, manor houses, and palace complexes, such as the manor complex in Białężyce from 1908 and the palace complex in Gulczewo from the late 19th century. The municipality also boasts numerous parks that enrich its landscape, including the manor park in Marzenin and the park in Węgierki. It is also worth noting the windmills relocated to the Greater Poland Ethnographic Park, which are an interesting example of regional architecture. With its rich cultural heritage, the Września Municipality offers many attractions for both residents and tourists, and the history and architecture of its sites form an important part of the local identity.
