Sieraków is an urban-rural municipality in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, within the Międzychód County, situated on the Międzychód-Sieraków Lakeland. Its administrative seat is the town of Sieraków, which had a population of 8,713 at the end of 2019. The municipality borders five other municipalities and is administratively divided into 15 village councils (sołectwa), including Lutom, Kaczlin, and Grobia, which are the largest rural settlements. The natural beauty of the region is highlighted by the presence of lakes and forests; nearly 60% of the municipality's area is covered by forests, and about 8% is water, creating an ideal environment for recreation. The municipality is encompassed by the Sierakowski Landscape Park, which protects a unique post-glacial landscape. It is also home to numerous nature reserves, reflecting the richness of its flora and fauna. Sieraków is an attractive tourist region with a well-developed accommodation base, including agritourism farms that draw visitors from nearby urban areas.
