Skórzec is a rural municipality located in the Masovian Voivodeship, within the Siedlce County, with its administrative seat in a town of the same name. The municipality, which has existed for many years, has undergone changes in its administrative affiliation, and between 1975 and 1998, it was part of the Siedlce Voivodeship. According to data from June 30, 2004, the municipality had 7,114 inhabitants, and its area is 118.91 km², of which 80% is agricultural land, highlighting the region's farming character. The predominant part of the municipality consists of land used for agriculture, underscoring local agrarian traditions. Skórzec is demographically diverse, with a slowly aging population, as can be observed in the age pyramid of its residents.
