wikipedia
The church complex in Dobra Szlachecka consists of two significant structures: the wooden Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross from 1879 and a gate bell tower from the 17th century. The church, built using log construction on a stone foundation, features a tripartite layout with a polygonal apse, a nave, and a narthex, as well as characteristic onion domes on tambours. The interior is adorned with figurative polychrome paintings created by Antoni and Michał Bogdański and Mikołaj Demkowicz at the turn of the 20th century, along with a classicist iconostasis typical of Carpathian churches. The church was damaged during World War II, and its original form was restored in 2003. Today, it serves as a Catholic church. The bell tower, rebuilt in the 18th century, has three levels – a masonry base and a wooden upper section – and was once used as a separate church due to the presence of an iconostasis, allowing additional masses to be held on the same day. It is a unique structure in Poland and currently functions as a bell tower with two bells. The church complex is part of the Subcarpathian Wooden Architecture Route, highlighting its cultural and architectural significance.
