The Parish of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in Główczyce is a Roman Catholic community established in 1946, located within the Główczyce deanery of the Pelplin Diocese. The church, consecrated on February 24, 1946, was initially used by Evangelicals. After being taken over by Catholics, the parish was briefly served by two Oblates, Fr. Józef Gołąbek and Fr. Piotr Purgoła. In 1950, a Jesuit, Fr. Stanisław Mirek, joined the pastoral work but was soon arrested. Since 1950, Salesians began serving the parish, with Fr. Zygmunt Kęsy being the first among them. He noted a significant increase in the number of parishioners: from 1,917 in 1950 to 2,327 in 1959. In the past, the parish covered more localities, some of which were later separated into independent parishes, such as Stowięcino and Cecenowo. Currently, the parish includes villages such as Będziechowo, Borek Skórzyński, Gorzysław, and Zgierz. Its subsidiary churches include those in Izbica, Będziechowo, and Szczypkowice. Over the years, the parish has been led by many pastors, each contributing uniquely to the community's life. An interesting fact is that the parish has rich religious traditions intertwined with local customs, and the Salesians are known for their active work with youth and organization of various cultural events.
