Stadler Polska is a manufacturer of rail vehicles headquartered in Siedlce, forming part of the Swiss-based Stadler Rail Group. The facility specializes in producing FLIRT family electric multiple units, trams, metro cars, and electrical components. The Polish rail industry has benefited significantly from the establishment of this factory, whose modernization began in 2006 after winning a tender to supply vehicles for the Masovian and Silesian voivodeships. The assembly plant was officially opened on September 5, 2007, and from the outset, it stood out for its modern architecture, featuring a spacious assembly hall equipped with multi-station production lines. By the end of September 2020, over 560 vehicles had been manufactured. Initially, the plant employed 70 people, but by 2017, the workforce had grown to more than 700. Stadler Polska has also focused on exports, producing vehicles for Dutch, Austrian, and Italian operators. An interesting fact is that in 2016, the factory began offering trams from the Metelica family and invested in expanding its facilities. In 2011, the company's financial profit amounted to several dozen million złoty, and by 2015, it reached a record value of over 31.5 million złoty. The company's activities have been recognized with numerous awards, including the Pro Masovia Medal for contributions to the Masovian Voivodeship and the Bursztyn Polskiej Gospodarki (Amber of the Polish Economy) award for supporting the development of the Polish economy. Stadler Polska remains a key player in the Polish rail transport market, blending the architectural aspects of modern manufacturing with a rich history of industry development.
