wikipedia
Staniszów Palace, located in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, is a historic site with a rich past, originally built in the Renaissance style in the second half of the 16th century. Its characteristic thick walls, over one meter wide, are a testament to this period. Although the basic structure of the building has been preserved to this day, significant changes took place in the 18th century when, after renovations commissioned by Prince Heinrich von Reuss, the palace acquired a late Baroque character. In 1818, it underwent another transformation, this time in the Neoclassical style, and in 1887, an eastern wing was added. The building also underwent 20th-century expansion and renovation. Today, the palace is privately owned and houses a hotel offering 43 rooms, including five suites, a restaurant, and a spa area with a swimming pool. Notable cultural events held at the palace include the "Staniszów Musicalia" festival. The palace grounds also feature an art gallery and a furniture store called "MaisondeRome INTERIOR DESIGN." Architecturally, the palace stands out with its three-story layout and a hipped roof with dormer windows, while its decorations include original woodwork, paneling, mosaics, and stuccowork. Four stucco fireplaces and paintings in the garden lounge have also been preserved. The garden surrounding the palace, designed by Prince von Reuss in the English style at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries, adds to its charm and historical context. The palace is complemented by details such as a portal bearing the von Reuss coat of arms and a former orangery located nearby. The site, which continues to attract visitors, combines tradition, history, and numerous cultural attractions.
