The Przesmyki Commune is a rural administrative unit in the Masovian Voivodeship, within the Siedlce County, with its seat in the village of Przesmyki. Until 1998, the commune belonged to the Siedlce Voivodeship. In 2004, its area of 117.13 km² was home to 3,744 people, with land use comprising 76% agricultural land and 19% forested areas. The commune covers 7.31% of the county's total area. From 1990, the mayor was Andrzej Lucjan Skolimowski, and since 2024, this position has been held by Marek Zalewski. The commune includes numerous village administrative units (sołectwa), such as Cierpigórz, Kaliski, Raczyny, and Zawady, reflecting the diversity of local communities. It borders neighboring communes like Korczew, Łosice, Mordy, Paprotnia, and Platerów. Przesmyki has tourism potential, offering opportunities to explore local culture and history tied to agricultural traditions and natural richness. A notable feature is the high proportion of agricultural land, indicating strong ties of the residents to farming.
