Strzelce Krajeńskie is an urban-rural municipality located in the Lubusz Voivodeship, within the Strzelce-Drezdenko County, with its administrative seat in the town of Strzelce Krajeńskie. Before 1998, the municipality belonged to the Gorzów Voivodeship. As of June 30, 2004, the population was 17,432. The municipality covers an area of 318.57 km², of which 53% is agricultural land and 38% is forested, together accounting for 25.52% of the entire county's area. Strzelce Krajeńskie is characterized by a rich administrative structure, including numerous villages such as Bronowice, Garzdko, and Sidłów, as well as smaller settlements like Buszewko and Wilanów. The municipality is known for its numerous nature reserves: Buki Zdroiskie, Mszar Przygiełkowy, and Mszar Rosiczkowy, which protect unique wetland and peatland ecosystems. These areas are rich in rare plant species, such as the white beak-sedge and sheathed cotton-grass.
