Stubno is a rural commune located in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, within the Przemyśl County. Its administrative seat is the village of Stubno. The commune was established as a result of administrative reforms, and between 1975 and 1998, it was part of the Przemyśl Voivodeship. According to data from June 2004, it was inhabited by 4,055 people. The commune covers an area of 89.12 km², of which 73% is agricultural land and 10% is forested, highlighting its agricultural character. The commune also plays a significant role in the county, occupying 7.34% of its total area. In the demographic structure of the commune's inhabitants, changes in the age pyramid can be observed, which is typical for rural regions in Poland. The Stubno commune consists of eight village administrative units (sołectwa): Barycz, Gaje, Hruszowice, Kalników, Nakło, Starzawa, Stubienko, and Stubno. The basic locality without the status of a village administrative unit is the settlement of Chałupki Dusowskie. Nearby communes include Medyka, Orły, Radymno, and Żurawica, and its borders also adjoin Ukraine, which may influence not only local trade but also culture. The commune is characterized by historical and cultural richness, typical of border regions, giving it a unique character. Stubno offers residents and tourists numerous natural and cultural attractions.
