The Collegiate Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is a 14th-century Roman Catholic parish church located in Uniejów, belonging to the Diocese of Włocławek. Founded by Archbishop of Gniezno Bogoria Skotnicki, the church represents the Gothic style and underwent reconstruction in the 16th century. Its history is marked by destruction during World War II, when the roof burned down and the western gable collapsed. After the war, between 1945 and 1946, the building was reconstructed, and in 1958, painting works were carried out.
In terms of historical value, the collegiate church stands out for its 14th-century Gothic presbytery and 17th-century Baroque side altars. A particularly significant element is the Chapel of Blessed Bogumił, which houses a bronze sarcophagus made in Gdańsk in 1667. In 2018, the chapel underwent renovation, including the revitalization of the sarcophagus and the façade. The church is an important landmark on the cultural map of the region, combining architectural value with rich history and cultural heritage.
