Turośń Kościelna is a rural commune located in the Podlaskie Voivodeship, within the Białystok County. Its administrative seat is the village of Turośń Kościelna. The commune covers an area of 140.3 km², of which 62% is agricultural land and 24% is forested. According to data from June 30, 2012, the commune was home to 5,850 people. Turośń Kościelna stands out for its rich architectural heritage, including the Roman Catholic Church of the Holy Trinity from 1778 and the Orthodox Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, built in 1870. The commune also features historic religious buildings, such as the Chapel of St. Barbara in Baciuty and the parish rectory.
