Wojcieszyce is a village located in the Lubusz Voivodeship, within the municipality of Kłodawa, with a population of just under a thousand. Its history dates back to the Middle Ages, with the first mentions of the settlement appearing in the New March Tax Register of 1337. In the 19th century, the village was the seat of a large estate farm, and after World War II, it was transformed into a center for plant cultivation. Today, it is primarily inhabited by resettlers and is developing in terms of infrastructure, which includes the Municipal Cultural Center, a kindergarten, and a medical point. Architecturally, it is distinguished by the filial Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, featuring Romanesque-Gothic characteristics and built at the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries, as well as a post-manorial complex of buildings, including an early 20th-century manor house. An interesting aspect is the region's rich archaeological history, with numerous finds from the Stone, Bronze, and Iron Ages, as well as valuable burial grounds of the Lusatian culture. Although small, the village is becoming a hub of social activity thanks to organizations such as the Senior Club and the PZW Angling Club "Bizon," which promote cooperation and integration among residents. Wojcieszyce is surrounded by natural wealth—numerous forests and lakes—creating attractive conditions for tourism and recreation, especially thanks to its hiking and cycling trails. The local administrative unit is striving for revitalization and development, as evidenced by diverse social projects and investment plans, including the potential location of industrial facilities.
