The War Cemetery in Wólka, located in the Harasiuki municipality of Nisko County, is a historic site commemorating the victims of World War I and World War II. The cemetery contains symbolic graves, and at its center stands a stone monument with a plaque bearing an incorrect inscription suggesting that the fallen soldiers died in 1917 and 1944. This statement is misleading, as no military operations took place in this area in 1917. The cemetery is managed by the Harasiuki Municipal Office. It serves not only as a place of remembrance but also as an important cultural and historical site, bearing witness to the fates of soldiers during the difficult wartime periods. Interestingly, despite its historical significance, the cemetery still awaits the full recognition and attention that all memorial sites associated with tragic past events deserve.
