The Harasiuki Commune, located in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship within Nisko County, was established as a result of the administrative reform on January 1, 1973. Its seat is the village of Harasiuki. Until 1975, the commune was part of the Lublin Voivodeship, and then, until 1998, it was part of the Tarnobrzeg Voivodeship. According to data from December 31, 2020, the commune had a population of 6,049. It covers an area of 168.29 km², of which 42% is agricultural land and 50% is forest land, making it a region of diverse natural landscapes. The commune constitutes 21.42% of the area of Nisko County. It includes numerous village administrative units (sołectwa), such as Banachy, Gózd, Huta Krzeszowska, and Sieraków, as well as localities without such status, like Kolonia Łazorska and Osada Leśna. Harasiuki borders the communes of Biłgoraj, Biszcza, Janów Lubelski, Jarocin, Krzeszów, Potok Górny, and Ulanów.
