Zaborski Landscape Park, locally known as Zôbòrsczi Park Krajòbrazny, is a protected area located in the Kashubian region of Zabory, within the municipalities of Chojnice and Brusy. It was established in 1990 under the original name Chojnicki Park Krajobrazowy (Chojnice Landscape Park) and adopted its current name in 1991. The park currently covers an area of 340.26 km², of which 63.31% is forested, 23.53% is agricultural land, and 12.54% is water. The park is home to approximately 50 lakes, with Jezioro Charzykowskie being the largest and deepest. Its waters include oligotrophic lobelia lakes with crystal-clear water and dystrophic ponds rich in humus. Numerous rivers, including the Brda and Zbrzyca, flow through the park, contributing to its biodiversity. The dominant vegetation consists of pine forests and natural mixed forests, while the rich fauna includes glacial relicts. The park hosts nature reserves such as Lake Nawionek and Moczadło, which aim to protect unique ecosystems. Since 2010, the park has been part of the Bory Tucholskie Biosphere Reserve and the Pomeranian Landscape Parks Complex. It is also designated as a Special Protection Area for birds and habitats, underscoring its importance for nature conservation in the region. According to data, there are as many as 99 ecological sites within the park, highlighting its rich biodiversity and significance for local ecosystems.
