The Zaleszany Commune, located in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, within the Stalowa Wola County, is an area rich in cultural and historical heritage. From 1975 to 1998, it belonged to the Tarnobrzeg Voivodeship. The commune's administrative seat is in Zaleszany, which is also home to the registered Stalowa Wola-Turbia Airport. In 2020, the commune had a population of 11,024, and according to 2002 data, the vast majority of its land is occupied by agricultural areas (73%) and forests (15%). Zaleszany Commune makes up 10.48% of the total area of Stalowa Wola County.
