wikipedia
Zbydniów is a village in Poland, located in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, within the Stalowa Wola County, in the municipality of Zaleszany. It is known for its beautiful landscapes and rich history. Its architectural gem is the single-story Horodyński Manor with a mansard roof, adorned by a picturesque portico with a balcony. Zbydniów also boasts rich cultural traditions, symbolized by the Brass Band, which has been active since 1922 and engages in local life by participating in church ceremonies and other events. The history of the village is marked by tragic events from World War II – in 1943, a brutal murder of the Horodyński family took place there, ordered by the estate's occupation administrator, Martin Fuldner. These events, though tragic, led to actions by the Home Army, which ultimately brought Fuldner to justice. Zbydniów is also home to the Christ Chapel, built from historical materials associated with the oaks under which kings once rested, as well as the Horodyński Family Public School and Kindergarten, a health center, small shops, and a volunteer fire department, reflecting its developed social infrastructure. Zbydniów is a place full of history, culture, and local traditions, surrounded by natural beauty, where one can feel the spirit of times past.
