Świebodzin is an urban-rural municipality located in the Lubusz Voivodeship, within the Świebodzin County, with its seat in the town of Świebodzin. From 1975 to 1998, it was administratively part of the Zielona Góra Voivodeship. The municipality covers an area of 227.36 km², of which 60% is agricultural land and 28% is forested, making it a place with a diverse landscape structure. According to data from June 30, 2004, the municipality had a population of 29,794. Within its territory lies the Dębowy Ostrów nature reserve, which protects a fragment of a natural oak forest, highlighting the area's importance for nature conservation.
