Świebodzin County, established in 1999 as part of the administrative reform, is located in the Lubuskie Voivodeship, with its seat in the town of Świebodzin. The region lies within the areas of the Łagów Lakeland and the Torzym Plain and abounds in natural attractions, such as the Łagów Landscape Park. The county is also known for historical remnants of World War II, including the Międzyrzecz Fortified Region. From a demographic perspective, the county had a population of 55,790 in 2019. The county comprises urban-rural municipalities, such as Świebodzin and Zbąszynek, as well as rural municipalities: Lubrza, Łagów, Skąpe, and Szczaniec. The main means of transportation include railway lines and an extensive network of national roads, including the A2 motorway and the S3 expressway. An interesting fact is that Świebodzin County is famous for the monumental statue of Jesus Christ, which is one of the tallest in the world, and its walls are adorned with numerous images and elements of sacred art. This region, with its rich history and unique attractions, not only attracts tourists but also serves as an important socio-economic center in the Lubuskie Voivodeship.
