Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish in Pisarzowice

The Parish of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Pisarzowice, established on March 1, 1972, encompasses the localities of Pisarzowice, Rędziny, Raszów, and Czarnów. Among the parish's historic monuments are the church in Pisarzowice with its Baroque altar and a Renaissance baptismal font from 1625, as well as the church in Rędziny, which features a portal dated to 1592 and a bell from 1597. The church in Raszów stands out for its Mannerist pulpit from the 17th century and the Schaffgotsch family mausoleum, one of the most important sepulchral complexes in Lower Silesia. The parish's history dates back to 1305, when the first Catholic community was organized in Pisarzowice. The village's original name, Villa Scriptori, gradually evolved into its current form, Pisarzowice.
