Brzezińska Street in Łódź is one of the longest streets in the city, stretching approximately 8.4 kilometers. It runs through the northeastern part of Łódź, in the former Widzew district, serving as a major transportation route leading toward the town of Brzeziny. The street follows a latitudinal course and is historically linked to the ancient Brzeziny route, which dates back to the 14th century. Its name, Brzezińska, refers to the direction it leads—toward Brzeziny. Architecturally, Brzezińska Street reflects the transformations of the 20th century, including industrial development, with the establishment of well-known factories such as the "Feniks" Hosiery Factory. In the 1970s, the street hosted significant events like the international Peace Race. Brzezińska Street also holds key importance in the context of transportation changes, having served as a bus route with various lines throughout its history. At its center lies the unique Nowosolna Market, an eight-arm intersection—the only one of its kind in Poland. Culturally, the street is shaped by its local community and diverse institutions, including modern shopping centers.
