The Chełmiński Landscape Park, located in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship within the Lower Vistula Valley, stretches from Unisław to Grudziądz and covers an area of 223.36 km². The park was established by decree of the Toruń Voivode in May 1998. In 1999, it was merged with the Nadwiślański Landscape Park to form the Lower Vistula Valley Landscape Park. However, after the Supreme Administrative Court annulled the regulation, the two parks were separated again, and the merger was dissolved in September 2005. In 2018, the newly established Góry Łosiowe Landscape Park was added to the Complex of Landscape Parks of the Lower Vistula. Within the Chełmiński Landscape Park, there are nature reserves such as Góra św. Wawrzyńca and Łęgi na Ostrowiu Panieńskim, which protect valuable ecosystems and biodiversity. The architectural and cultural values of the region are linked to historical sites and monuments near the park, making it attractive not only to nature enthusiasts but also to tourists interested in the history and culture of the area. The Chełmiński Landscape Park plays a vital role in landscape protection and preserving the natural heritage of the Lower Vistula Valley.
