Czciradz Palace

The palace in Czciradz, located in the Lubusz Voivodeship, boasts a rich history dating back to the early 17th century. The first known owner of the estate was Joachim von Stensch, who built a defensive manor house in 1609. In 1780, the property passed into the hands of the von Lehwald family, who commissioned the reconstruction of the manor in the late Baroque and early Neoclassical style at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries. During this period, the defensive features of the building were removed, and a picturesque landscape park with a family mausoleum was created around it. In the 20th century, the palace came into the possession of Johannes Ritsch, who added a veranda and modernized the interiors. After World War II, the building was transformed into the headquarters of a state-owned agricultural farm, and in the mid-1990s, it was taken over by the Agricultural Property Agency of the State Treasury. In 2002, the palace became the property of a private investor, currently the company Segi AT. Architecturally, the palace is a two-story building with a rectangular floor plan, constructed of stone and brick, featuring a hipped roof and a centrally located entrance accentuated by a stone heraldic cartouche. A distinctive arcaded bridge leads to the entrance. The interiors are characterized by barrel and cross vaults, as well as decorative plafonds. The palace in Czciradz is thus an interesting example of architecture that combines various styles and a bearer of local history that continues to arouse interest.
