Dubiecko is an urban-rural municipality in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, within the Przemyśl County, with the town of Dubiecko serving as its administrative seat. The municipality underwent a significant transformation on January 1, 2021, when Dubiecko was granted town rights, thereby changing its status from a rural to an urban-rural municipality. Between 1975 and 1998, the municipality was part of the Przemyśl Voivodeship. Covering an area of 154.26 km², it was home to 9,277 people in 2017, with agricultural land (48%) and forests (40%) constituting the majority of its territory. Administratively, the Dubiecko municipality borders the municipalities of Bircza, Dynów, Jawornik Polski, Kańczuga, Krzywcza, and Pruchnik. The municipality includes protected areas, such as the Przemyśl Foothills Landscape Park and a Natura 2000 site, making it a region of significant ecological importance. The southern part of the municipality hosts the "Przemyśl Foothills" bird sanctuary and is traversed by the San River, which is also part of the Natura 2000 network. Additionally, the area features two nature reserves: Kozigarb and Broduszurki, as well as 81 natural monuments. The Dubiecko municipality comprises several villages, including Bachórzec, Hucisko Nienadowskie, and Nienadowa, along with the settlement of Dział, which does not have the status of a village. With its rich history and natural diversity, Dubiecko is increasingly gaining prominence on the map of the Podkarpacie region, attracting both local residents and tourists.
