wikipedia
The Solina gondola lift, connecting the lower station at Plasza with the upper station on Jawor Mountain, is a modern tourist facility that was opened on July 1, 2022. Construction work lasted over a year, with the assembly of the lift itself taking four weeks, from October 7 to November 5, 2021. Each gondola accommodates eight people, allowing tourists to admire picturesque views while traveling at heights of up to 102 meters above ground level, making it one of the highest gondola lifts in Poland. The station architecture stands out for its functionality; the gondolas slow down to a speed of 0.2 m/s during boarding and disembarking, making it easier for passengers to use the lift. The supports range from 17 to 75 meters in height, with the maximum span between them reaching 681.67 meters. The cable length is 3079.33 meters, giving the structure a sense of lightness. A cultural feature of the lower station is an exhibition dedicated to the fauna of the Bieszczady Mountains, abandoned villages, and local nature, allowing tourists to deepen their knowledge of the region. On Jawor Mountain, an impressive 55-meter-high observation tower with a terrace has been built, offering additional attractions such as a glass walkway extending beyond the terrace. The total cost of the investment was 110 million PLN. The Solina gondola lift not only enriches the region's tourist infrastructure but also enhances the appeal of the Bieszczady Mountains as a destination for relaxation and recreation.
