Cisna

Cisna is a picturesque rural municipality located in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, in Lesko County, known as the least populous rural municipality in Poland. The municipal seat is situated in Cisna itself, which lies in the heart of the Bieszczady Mountains, an area renowned for its stunning landscapes, mountain trails, and rich biodiversity. The municipality spans an area of 286.89 km², with forests dominating the land use (87%), while agricultural land accounts for only 5%. In addition to the Solinka River, which is the main river of the municipality, the Wetlina River also flows through the region—both of which are vital to the local ecosystem and tourism. Cisna and its surroundings offer numerous tourist attractions, including hiking trails across Połonina Wetlińska, the largest mountain formation in the municipality.
