The Gostynin Deanery, part of the Płock Diocese and based in Gostynin, is an area rich in history and remarkable sacral architecture. The deanery consists of three parishes, each led by experienced priests. Among them, Rev. Canon Andrzej Rutkowski, pastor of the Divine Mercy Parish, and Rev. Canon Krzysztof Jończyk, M.A., who leads the Parish of St. Martin, as well as Rev. Rafał Gutkowski, M.A., who ministers to the Parish of St. Nicholas in Duninów, stand out. The architecture of the churches in Gostynin and the surrounding towns reflects a diversity of styles, with clear influences of Gothic, Baroque, and Classicism. These churches not only serve religious functions but also act as important cultural hubs for the local community, hosting events, concerts, and festivals that bring together residents and pilgrims. Historically, the region has roots dating back to the Middle Ages, which is evident in its historic buildings and religious traditions. Interestingly, the deanery attracts significant tourist interest, with visitors drawn not only for religious reasons but also to explore local traditions and heritage. As the deanery continues to develop, it preserves and nurtures its legacy, attracting more and more people to its charming parishes and picturesque landscapes.
