Jabłonowo Pomorskie

Jabłonowo Pomorskie, an urban-rural municipality in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, is an interesting point on the regional map, boasting a rich history and architectural heritage. The seat of the municipality is the town of Jabłonowo Pomorskie, which, according to 2004 data, had a population of 9,045. The municipality covers an area of 134.36 km², with a predominance of agricultural land (79%) and forests (10%), playing a significant role in the structure of Brodnica County, to which it belongs. In terms of architecture, notable landmarks include the wooden Church of St. Martin from 1723 in Góral and the Neo-Gothic Church of St. Adalbert in Jabłonowo Pomorskie, built between 1860 and 1864. The village is also home to a church complex in Konojady, featuring an originally evangelical church (now Catholic), and a magnificent palace that currently serves as a convent for the Sisters of the Good Shepherd.
