Kurzętnik Deanery

The Kurzętnik Deanery is one of the 24 deaneries in the Diocese of Toruń, established on December 2, 2001, as a result of structural reorganization by Bishop Andrzej Suski. This region is characterized by a rich history dating back to the Middle Ages, and its towns feature numerous architectural monuments, including churches and religious buildings reflecting various styles, such as Gothic and Baroque. The parishes in the deanery not only serve religious functions but also cultural ones, organizing local events that shape regional identity. The history of the deanery is inextricably linked with the traditions of its inhabitants and the events that have taken place in the area. Interestingly, some of the local parishes have their own unique traditions and customs, which attract tourists and pilgrims.
