wikipedia
The Julianów-Marysin-Rogi housing estate is an administrative unit located in the northern part of Łódź, within the former district of Bałuty, inhabited by 11,660 people. The boundaries of the estate are defined by Julianowska, Inflancka, Strykowska, and Zgierska streets, as well as railway tracks. It is characterized by single-family housing with a suburban feel, despite its close proximity to the large housing estates of Radogoszcz. The area lacks larger shopping centers, with small local shops dominating instead. In terms of healthcare, there is a branch of the Municipal Medical Center located here. The estate also offers ten educational institutions, including schools for children with visual impairments, as well as above-average secondary schools. Recreation is provided by the Adam Mickiewicz Park, also known as Julianowski Park, founded by Juliusz Heinz, featuring two ponds and numerous pathways. It is also worth mentioning the significant St. Roch Cemetery. Culturally, the estate is complemented by two branches of the Museum of Independence Traditions, including the Radogoszcz Mausoleum and the Radegast Station, which bear witness to historical tragedies related to World War II and the Holocaust. In terms of religion, there are three Catholic parish churches that serve as local gathering places and sources of spiritual support. Transportation within the estate is well-organized, with an important road junction and railway lines serving the Łódź Agglomeration Railway, as well as city buses and trams, including the former Warszawska loop. Despite its artificial administrative structure, the Julianów-Marysin-Rogi estate offers its residents a wealth of local culture, history, and architecture.
