Kańczuga is an urban-rural municipality located in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, within Przeworsk County, with the town of Kańczuga serving as its administrative seat. The municipality covers an area of 105.15 km², predominantly comprising agricultural land (77%) and forested areas (14%). Between 1975 and 1998, it belonged to the Przemyśl Voivodeship. In 2004, the population was 12,766, but by the end of 2017, it had decreased to 12,422 residents. Kańczuga is home to several noteworthy architectural landmarks, including historic churches and structures reflecting the region's heritage. The municipality boasts a rich cultural tradition, evident in local festivals and customs. Events promoting folklore are regularly organized in the area, helping to preserve local traditions. Its proximity to neighboring municipalities such as Dubiecko, Przeworsk, and Pruchnik fosters cultural exchange and collaboration in various fields.
