Kamieniec is a rural commune in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, located in the Grodzisk County, with its administrative seat in the village of Kamieniec. Between 1975 and 1998, it belonged to the Poznań Voivodeship. The commune covers an area of 133.82 km², of which 81% is agricultural land and 9% is forested. As of the end of 2017, Kamieniec Commune is inhabited by approximately 6,678 people. The demographic structure indicates a diverse age pyramid, which may reflect the dynamic development of the local community. The commune includes numerous village administrative units (sołectwa), such as Cykowo, Kamieniec, and Parzęczewo, as well as settlements without this status, like Cykówko and Plastowo. It borders other communes, including Granowo, Grodzisk Wielkopolski, and Rakoniewice. It is also worth mentioning that Kamieniec has a partner town – Dahmetal in Brandenburg.
