Namysłów County

Namysłów County is an administrative unit located in the northwestern part of the Opole Voivodeship, established in 1999. Its seat is the town of Namysłów, situated in the historical region of Lower Silesia, with the exception of the Pokój municipality, which lies in Upper Silesia. The county consists of one urban-rural municipality (Namysłów) and four rural municipalities: Domaszowice, Pokój, Świerczów, and Wilków. In 2019, the county's population was 42,643, and by 2020, it had increased to 42,680. Architecturally, Namysłów boasts a rich historical heritage, including the Gothic Church of Saints Peter and Paul and a market square surrounded by historic townhouses. The partially preserved medieval defensive walls are also noteworthy, lending the town its distinctive charm. The county's culture reflects local traditions and historical influences, evident in the festivals and cultural events that bring residents together and attract tourists.
