The municipality of Rabka-Zdrój, located in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship, within the Nowy Targ County, covers an area of 69.02 km². Of this, 45.75% is agricultural land, 42.58% is green areas, and 10.14% is residential land. With its seat in the spa town of Rabka-Zdrój, the municipality has an urban-rural character. Between 1975 and 1998, it was administratively part of the Nowy Sącz Voivodeship. At the beginning of 2015, the municipality had 17,355 inhabitants. An interesting fact is that the municipality constitutes 4.68% of the total area of Nowy Targ County. Rabka-Zdrój is known as a health resort and a popular tourist destination, attracting both residents and visitors from other regions. From a demographic perspective, it is worth noting the age structure of the population, which is important for planning local cultural and social activities. The municipality includes several village districts (sołectwa), such as Chabówka, Ponice, and Rdzawka. Rabka-Zdrój is also home to various religious sites, including four Roman Catholic parishes, as well as a Baptist church and a Jehovah's Witnesses congregation. In terms of international cooperation, the municipality maintains a partnership with the town of Dominowo. With its architectural, cultural, and historical assets, Rabka-Zdrój is an attractive place for both residents and tourists, contributing to its dynamic development and rich program offerings.
