Sieniawa is an urban-rural municipality located in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, within Przeworsk County, with the town of Sieniawa serving as its administrative seat. Established on August 1, 1934, through the merger of several rural communes, the municipality underwent various administrative changes, including its abolition and the creation of smaller administrative units known as gromadas in the 1950s and 1960s. Between 1975 and 1998, it was part of the Przemyśl Voivodeship. According to demographic data, as of the end of 2019, the municipality had a population of 7,041 and covered an area of 127.31 km², of which 52% was agricultural land and 38% forested. Sieniawa occupies 18.23% of the total area of Przeworsk County. The region's architectural landscape reflects its diverse history, with many buildings bearing traces of the past. Local authorities have actively worked to preserve and develop regional traditions and culture. Among the mayors who have led the municipality, Adam Woś, who held the position from 2006 to 2024, is particularly noteworthy. He was succeeded by Witold Mrozek. Sieniawa borders the municipalities of Adamówka, Jarosław, Leżajsk, Tryńcza, and Wiązownica, facilitating opportunities for cross-regional cooperation and cultural exchange. An interesting fact is that Sieniawa is not only a place with a rich administrative history but also a vibrant local community where residents actively preserve traditions and contribute to the municipality's development.
