wikipedia
St. Nicholas Church in Domaradz is a Roman Catholic wooden temple built in the second half of the 15th century, around 1485. It belongs to the Domaradz deanery in the Przemyśl Archdiocese. Its architecture is an example of the late Gothic wooden style, constructed from larch and fir wood using traditional log techniques. In the 17th century, a tower and arcades were added, and subsequent renovations took place in the 18th century, when a stone floor and an organ prospect were installed, and in 1878, when the nave was extended and the interior was divided into three aisles. In 1906, a porch was added, and in 1936, the wooden shingle roof was replaced with sheet metal. The church is oriented, featuring a single-ridge roof and a belfry topped with a pyramidal spire. The interior of the church is rich in stylistic elements, including a rood beam with a Baroque crucifix from the 18th century and polychrome paintings from 1887 depicting the celestial vault. The main altar from 1912 exhibits eclectic style features, while the side altars and pulpit represent Baroque, and the confessionals are examples of late Baroque from the second half of the 18th century. A notable feature is the late Gothic baptismal font from the end of the 15th century with a wooden cover from around 1720, as well as crypts located beneath the presbytery, which add historical significance to this structure. The church plays an important role in the cultural and religious life of the local community, preserving a rich architectural and sacred history.
