The Domaradz Deanery, established on May 8, 2003, by a decree of Archbishop Józef Michalik, is part of the Przemyśl Archdiocese and belongs to the Sanok Archpresbyterate. The deanery includes parishes separated from the Brzozów Deanery: Domaradz, Barycz, Blizne, Golcowa, Jasienica Rosielna, and Orzechówka. Currently, the dean of the deanery is Father Tadeusz Pikor. Architecturally, the parishes are characterized by historic churches, often in the Neo-Gothic or Baroque style. They attract both the faithful and tourists interested in history and sacred art. The parish church in Domaradz, dedicated to St. Nicholas the Bishop, holds not only religious but also cultural significance, serving as a venue for local events and traditions. The deanery is also an important hub for local communities that nurture folklore, music, and rituals associated with religious life. Interestingly, the deanery includes filial churches that are integral to the spirituality of local communities, such as the church in Golcowa, which has a filial church dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Wola Jasienicka, with its filial church of St. Stanislaus Kostka, and the parish in Orzechówka are also significant centers of religious and cultural life, reflecting the region’s rich heritage. Combining a long history with active community life, the Domaradz Deanery is an intriguing destination for researchers and enthusiasts of culture, history, and sacred architecture.
