wikipedia
The Palace and Park Complex in Przeworsk, built by the Lubomirski family, is a historic ensemble consisting of a palace, an orangery, and other buildings, surrounded by an English-style park. The history of the complex dates back to 1621, when Przeworsk became a private town of the Lubomirski family, and its flourishing is attributed to Princess Izabela Lubomirska. The construction of the palace, initiated during the late Renaissance period, took place between 1800 and 1807 under the initiative of Prince Henryk Lubomirski. The palace's architecture combines classical features with distinctive elements such as risalits and columned terraces. The interiors are richly decorated, with the connection of two staircases being particularly noteworthy. The palace's art collections, including valuable artworks, were destroyed during World War II, and some were moved to the Lubomirski Museum in Lviv. After the war, the palace served various functions, and in the 1970s, it was converted into a museum. The park, covering 12 hectares with numerous old trees and exotic specimens, was ideal for walks and recreation. The complex also includes other buildings, such as coach stables, a carriage house, and a gardener's house, some of which now serve exhibition purposes, including displays on the history of firefighting. An interesting feature is the plaque commemorating the Millennium of the Polish State, unveiled in 1966, which unfortunately was destroyed. The palace and its surroundings are not only an example of architecture and nature but also a testament to the rich history of the region and the fate of the Lubomirski family.
