The Parish of Saints Cyril and Methodius in Hajnówka is a Roman Catholic community established on September 3, 1995, by Bishop Antoni Dydycz. It was formed from a part of the Parish of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross and Saint Stanislaus the Bishop and Martyr, with Father Canon Zygmunt Bronicki serving as its first parish priest. Initially, the parish used a cemetery chapel, which was renovated in 1996. Until 2012, the parish house was located in an old building near the cemetery, where the Missionary Sisters of the Holy Family had lived for many years. In 1997, the city authorities granted the parish a portion of the land from the old hospital, enabling the construction of a new parish church. The construction was completed in 2008, and the parish house was finished in 2012. The church, built in a contemporary style, is a significant architectural feature of the city and serves as a gathering place for the faithful. It caters to believers from Hajnówka and nearby towns such as Czerlonka, Długi Bród, and Istok. The parish also maintains a chapel at the Hajnówka Detention Center, dedicated to Blessed Honorat Koźmiński. An interesting fact is that the parish, although established relatively recently, plays an important role in the local community by integrating residents and offering cultural and spiritual support.
