The Parish of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Maciejowice is a Roman Catholic community established in the 12th century, making it one of the oldest religious centers in the region. The current parish church, a masonry structure, was built between 1819 and 1821 and expanded in 1881. Located on Kościelna Street, the church stands out for its architecture, which reflects the local style of sacred construction. The parish includes numerous localities such as Maciejowice, Antoniówka Wilczkowska, Budy Krępskie, Kawęczyn, and others, underscoring its role as a central point of spiritual life for the inhabitants of these areas.
The parish also features two outreach chapels: the Chapel of St. Stanislaus the Martyr in Strych and the Chapel of Our Lady of Fatima in Budy Krępskie. The histories of these chapels and their significance to local communities form a valuable part of the parish's cultural heritage. Beyond its religious functions, the parish fosters social integration among residents by organizing various cultural and religious events that strengthen bonds among the faithful. An interesting fact is that, as a place with a long history, the parish preserves not only religious traditions but also various local legends and stories connected to the history of Maciejowice and its surroundings.
