Wawel Royal Castle

Wawel Royal Castle is one of Poland's most important monuments, situated atop Wawel Hill in Kraków. This monumental defensive and residential structure served as the seat of Polish kings and a center of power for many centuries. The castle features a diverse architectural style, including Renaissance, Baroque, and Classical elements. Wawel is also an important site for Polish culture and national identity, having been the location of coronations and the final resting place of many kings.
