Zachód is one of the districts of Szczecin, encompassing the western part of the city and comprising 9 administrative neighborhoods. According to data from March 2015, it was home to 114,335 residents. Formerly known as Pogodno, the district adopted its current name in 1990. Zachód is characterized by architectural diversity, featuring both historic buildings from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries and modern housing estates.
